I've Joined Brown, Hay + Stephens

I'm happy to share some news with my clients, colleagues, and network: I've joined Brown, Hay & Stephens (BHS) as Of Counsel.

Deep Roots Across Illinois

BHS is the oldest law firm in Illinois. For the history buffs, that history includes a rather notable early practitioner: Abraham Lincoln himself practiced law there. What drew me in wasn't just that legacy, though. I’ve worked with BHS attorneys for over a decade now and exchanged business where our practice areas allowed us to better serve clients that way. The firm's the depth and reach the firm has built across Illinois in the just-under-200 years since its founding. Joining a team with that kind of foundation, and that many relationships throughout Illinois is the best way to serve my client base.

What I'm Bringing With Me

I'm bringing my intellectual property and technology law, federal litigation, and energy practices to BHS. I'm looking forward to putting the firm's breadth of knowledge and resources behind my clients, and to introducing BHS's clients to the practices I bring, as our work comes together. I'm also glad to say I'm not making this move alone, some of my team Phillips & Bathke team are joining me at BHS, so clients will see familiar faces alongside a much larger bench.

Thank You to Phillips & Bathke

I want to thank my colleagues at Phillips & Bathke for the years we spent building a practice together. That experience is the foundation for this next chapter, and I'm genuinely grateful for it.

What This Means for You

If you're a client, referral source, or part of my professional network, I'd welcome the chance to reconnect and share more about how this move benefits you. I'm excited about what's ahead at BHS.
